Collaboration and Partnership
Policy
To help us design services that improve equitable health outcomes, we collaborate and engage with:
- organisations, partners, or health providers who represent or serve our practice population
- people who visit our facility, e.g. patients, whānau, and visitors.
We build strong relationships with the groups and individuals we engage with and listen to advice and feedback from our community when developing our services:
Q31
- We work collectively with Māori health organisations to shape our Māori health plan and ensure the well-being of our Māori patients and whānau.
- We carry out surveys to seek feedback from specific groups within our population, e.g. Māori patients.
- We seek guidance from relevant community groups when undertaking quality activities.
- We ask staff to document any informal feedback or comments from patients within diverse groups and pass this on to the equity champion.
Feedback from patients, whānau, or others who visit our facility is reported to the clinical governance group. It helps us identify opportunities to improve our services or processes.
If necessary, we may seek targeted feedback from specific groups within our population to be sure they are represented in our decision-making.
