Health and Safety Expectations

Health-related issues

Practice staff must take responsibility for their own health and are expected to ask for help from their manager or the practice manager if their ability to work is affected by fatigue, workload, and/or stress.

See also Stress and Wellbeing.

Inappropriate use of substances, including drugs and alcohol, while at work is not permitted, and our practice is smokefree. Any staff who smoke must do so outside, away from the premises and from public view.

Safety and security

The safety and security of our practice staff, patients, and property is extremely important. We expect all practice staff to make sure their working environment is safe and secure and to adhere to all WorkSafe NZ requirements, including the reporting of hazards, incidents, or accidents.
